Bitnomial Clearinghouse LLC has been approved by the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) to clear fully collateralized swap contracts. This decision allows parent company Bitnomial to deploy prediction markets while providing clearing services for external platforms.
According to the announcement, Bitnomial’s prediction market will focus on events related to cryptocurrencies and macroeconomics, in addition to existing Bitcoin and cryptocurrency derivatives products. The company, based in Chicago, currently offers perpetual contracts, futures, options, and leveraged spot trading, with margin and settlement directly in digital assets.
Chairman Michael Dunn said that Bitnomial aims to build a clearing network serving both internal and partner needs. This move comes amid a rapidly growing prediction market in the U.S., with Kalshi and Polymarket recording trading volumes of billions of USD in the past 30 days.
