PANews reported on July 13 that the Stacks Foundation, the foundation of the Bitcoin L2 network Stacks, said on the X platform that Nakamoto’s code writing has completed the original plan (July 15) ahead of schedule, and is currently undergoing internal and external audits, testing and bug fixes. It is reported that the Nakamoto upgrade will separate Stacks’ block production schedule from Bitcoin’s, and will introduce a new Stacks block production method to update its proof-of-transfer consensus algorithm. The Stacks Nakamoto upgrade will be able to achieve transaction speeds of around 5-10 seconds, which is about 100 times faster than the current transaction speed.
