Jinsan data news on October 2nd, according to Japanese media reports on October 1st, since December last year, a water quality survey in Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan, has shown serious pollution in multiple water bodies near the local US military ammunition depot, with the content of perfluoro and polyfluoroalkyl substances in one groundwater exceeding the standard by 300 times. After repeatedly denying it, the local US military admitted in September that they had been using foam fire extinguishants containing perfluoro and polyfluoroalkyl substances for as long as 19 years.
