Most people don't realize how much their early breaks determine the trajectory. In my case, it came down to one thing: my family could afford a property in a solid district where the schools actually invested in STEM education. Good AP programs, labs, experienced teachers—the kind of resources that compound over time.

But here's what's broken about this system. Many states have essentially weaponized zoning laws and environmental regulations to freeze housing supply in high-opportunity areas. Wealthy communities use these tools to keep costs artificially high and newcomers out. The result? Education becomes a luxury good, accessible only to those who can already afford premium real estate.

It's not meritocracy when your zip code predetermines your ceiling. Local property tax systems fund schools, so rich districts get richer schools, creating a self-reinforcing cycle. Until we address the structural barriers to building and moving, geographic luck will keep determining life outcomes more than ability ever will.

It's really just about luck at the start line, there's nothing more to say.

Honestly, being able to buy a house in a good school district is really the starting point of being a life winner... Wealthy people use zoning laws to tightly lock in the upward mobility, and ordinary people don't even have a chance to get in.

Honestly, this is the reality... Only those who can afford good school district houses with their family can attend good schools. What about everyone else?

nah this reads like someone discovered systemic inequality at a dinner party... the real alchemy's in how zoning laws literally transmute zip codes into generational wealth. it's the ultimate yield farming except the protocol's rigged from genesis block lol

Basically, it's that birthplace determines destiny; no matter how hard you try, it's all in vain.
